Frontend House is a place to learn, share experience, and discuss frontend development. These rules apply to publications, discussions, comments, and profiles.
1. Treat people with respect
Critique ideas and code constructively. Explain your reasoning without attacking the author. Harassment, insults, threats, discrimination, and sharing someone’s personal information without permission are not welcome. Make room for beginners and different points of view.
2. Make your contributions useful
- Keep posts relevant to web development and choose channels and topics that match the content.
- Use a descriptive title. For technical questions, include the expected result, actual behaviour, relevant code, and what you have already tried.
- Check for existing discussions before posting the same question again. Keep replies connected to the original subject.
- Distinguish personal experience and opinion from verified facts. If you discover a mistake, correct it openly.
3. Credit the work you share
Publish work you created or have permission to share. Link to original sources and identify quoted material. Respect project licences. If you use AI assistance, review the result, test technical examples, and take responsibility for what you publish.
4. Be transparent about promotion
A relevant project can contribute to a discussion when you explain what it does and disclose your connection to it. Repeated advertisements, referral spam, unsolicited promotional replies, and artificial engagement are not acceptable. Commercial partnerships should be discussed with the community administrators in advance; see Advertisement.
5. Keep shared content safe
Do not publish passwords, access tokens, private client code, or confidential information. Remove sensitive details from screenshots and examples. Do not distribute malware, phishing links, illegal material, or instructions intended to harm other people or their systems.
6. Help keep discussions constructive
If something breaks these rules, use the report action where available or bring it to a community administrator’s attention. Include a link and a short explanation. Avoid escalating an argument or reposting harmful material.
Administrators may ask for changes, remove content, or restrict an account to protect the community. Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension. If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, explain the situation calmly and provide relevant context.
